The annual End of School Block Party is scheduled for:
Friday, June 4th
9:00 am to 9:00 pm
100 block of South Taylor
All NeighborNet area kids and families are welcome, but kids must be supervised by an adult (it's a block party, not baby-sitting).
The Martins will be serving hot dogs and drinks at 12:30, Please bring something to share.
On Saturday, June 5, 2010 there will be a Memorial Mass for Dick Vanek at St. Catherine – St. Lucy Church, 38 N. Austin Boulevard, Oak Park (at the corner of Washington & Austin Blvd.).
Family and friends will gather at the back of the church at 10 a.m. After Mass there will be a party to celebrate Dick’s life at Fitzgerald’s

The Oak Park Police Department will be hosting a community discussion on public safety in Oak Park on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010, 7 – 9 p.m. at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School 325 S. Kenilworth. I have attached a flyer with additional information on this event. Please feel free to forward / print out to your neighbors, friends and relatives. Please come out and join us.
