At Unity Temple, Parent Cafes for the Community, Tuesday, September 14th, 7 to 9 pm

Dear Community Leaders:

The first of a series of Parent Cafes for the Community will kick-off Tuesday, September 14th, 7 to 9 pm at Unity Temple in Oak Park. These cafes, organized by the Oak Park River Forest Parent Action Committee (PAC) and Oak Park Township Youth Services, are designed to foster parent-to-parent conversations on the challenges teenagers face in Oak Park and River Forest. Parents and other concerned citizens are invited. All opinions and solutions are welcome!

Please post the attached flyer in your workplace/organization and please forward to anyone and everyone who would benefit from attending. Thank you for your support and help in getting the word out regarding this exciting grassroots initiative!

Sincerely,

The OPRF Citizens’ Council
Teen and Alcohol and Substance Use Subcommittee

Thank You From The Nolans

Sorry this is so late, but I was having trouble posting to this site--thanks, David, for fixing it for me!

Shawn and I just wanted to thank everyone who's given us such a warm welcome when we moved to Taylor last December. We really feel "at home" and it's truly helped us with our transition from Cincinnati.

Also, thanks so much to everyone who came out for the Front Porch Party that we co-hosted. Shawn and I will have another one, sometime in the fall, and I'll post that information when we're sure of a date.

I am passing this on for a friend:

I will have two spaces open this fall. I wanted to ask you to please pass this on to anyone in your circle of friends or neighbors, who might be interested in a full day program. I will be happy to email them information about my program and meet with them, if they think we might be a good match, after reading my material.

I appreciate you passing this on. Bj Richards/Bj;s Kids

We are the Village it Takes…

Make an impact on the well-being of our kids and this community by joining a grassroots effort
initiated by the Parent Action Committee (formed in cooperation with the Citizens’ Council Subcommittee on Teen Alcohol and Substance Use.)

Our hope and vision involves the creation of Parent Cafes –

We need your talents, energy and influence!

If you are interested in helping get these Parent Cafes up and running – either by leading a group or hosting an event – please come to our first orientation meeting on:

Thursday, July 29th at 7 p.m.
