Here is a comment that referenced a recent letter about some problems on Lombard:
"When the police and housing authority say that as a community we can be successful, what does successful mean? That the police will arrive promptly, and then promptly leave saying there is nothing we can do here, or that the village has no ordinances or nuisance laws that have been broken? Obviously, we call the police when we see something suspicious or dangerous, but 'as a community we can be successful' needs to be explained more specifically."
